We the  216 members of the Society of the Bridgettines are involved in charitable activities for over Seven decades.

 We have 17 Convents in India, involved in social activities especially in the uplift of women. We educate and train women to be self-sufficient.  These women mostly poor, who have no opportunity to come up in life.

In pursuance of charitable objects of our society, we are running hostels for students and providing boarding and lodging facilities to them at concessional rates.  The facilities offered to students belong to all communities and castes. No preference or priority is given to students of any particular community or caste.  The income from the hostel is ploughed back for the charitable objects of the society.

We extend financial help for the construction of the houses in the villages, co-ordinate self help programmes for the women. We help the farmers in the villages by distributing seedlings and manure for their cultivation. Organizing awareness programme for the villagers on health care, Cancer AIDS etc. We conduct job oriented courses for the young girls of the village to help them to find a suitable job.

Above all , the main  aim of our Society is the prayer, we dedicate our lives for prayer, praying for peace in our land as well as for the whole world.  We pray for all people without any discrimination, we pray for the whole humanity.  We pray for the leaders of our county and of all world.
